Zingers: Dealing with anger
How to deal with anger, according to the Bible: --«Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools» (Ecclesiastes 7.9) --In your anger do not sin: "Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold" (Ephesians 4.26-27) --A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control. (Proverbs 29.11, NIV) --But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. (Colossians 3:8, NIV)

We all get angry one time or another. It's a human emotion, perfectly normal. However, it's not normal to be angry all the time. It's not a good thing when anger takes control of our lives. When I feel that something or someone is going to make me angry, I cry for help: I ask the Lord to help me deal with this strong emotion. One thing I've found very helpful when dealing with anger is: NOT to dwell in my problems.

[01] Every moment you are angry, you loose a minute of happiness. [02] Those who look for opportunities to hate, miss many opportunities to love.
[03] When we discuss we show our intelligence; when we argue we display our ignorance. [04] A fellow with the smallest mind is the one who is usually most willing to give someone a piece of it.
