Zingers: Character
The Bible's perspective on character: --Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character." (1 Corinthians 15.33, NIV) --Good character is the best insurance; crooks get trapped in their sinful lust. (Proverbs 11.6, The Message) --"Be wary of false preachers who smile a lot, dripping with practiced sincerity. Chances are they are out to rip you off some way or other. Don't be impressed with charisma; look for character. (Matthew 7.15,The Message)

Character is one of those virtues too often ignored or taken lightly by our society. One may ask, "What is character? Do I really need to have it in order to be successful in life? Is it relevant today or is it an old concept?"
[01] Reputation is for a time; character is for eternity. [02] Character is what you are when no one is watching. [03] Don't be a character----have it! [04] Too often in prayer we ask God to change our circumstances rather than our character.
[05] Character is developed by two small words: yes and no. [06] Your words may hide your thoughts, but your actions will reveal them. [07] Your character is built on what you stand for---your reputation on what you fall for.
